I watched a YouTube video that made me sad. The presenter used a scholar & his breakdown of one word to prove a point. I’m going to leave my comment in it’s full. Yet, I’m not going to share what the video was about, simply because the importance is my reply to the wrong approach to prove another person’s understanding of the scriptures was wrong (although I believe this person was correct according to the scriptures & the presenter of the video and The scholar were incorrect, according to the scriptures). It is extremely important for everyone to know that it doesn’t take a scholar to teach us the scriptures, for us to understand the scriptures. This is the Duty of The Godhead Bodily.

The comment made to the video.
This is an extremely sad presentation because it is teaching that simple folks cannot understand the scriptures. And by reading the comments it shows that many people rely on scholars and not study the scriptures for themselves, very, very, sad indeed.
We don’t need to rely on scholars or pastors to teach us the Word of God. Note, for it is written,
“The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.” Psalms 19:7.
“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” Psalms 119:130.
If that’s the case, that we need scholars to interpret the scriptures, the original Catholic system in the dark ages should stand today. But the reason why it doesn’t stand today is because God sent men to translate the Bible that the simple folk, every living person may know the truth of God’s Word for themselves, it doesn’t need a scholar. This is an attempt to divert and to deceive those who do not study the Word of God for themselves. Hence creating their own Catholic like system that we must follow the understanding of the leadership, scholars and Pastors within the (….) Church.

This is very sad because this is teaching that people like myself, have no hope of understanding the truth of God’s Word, & it teaches that we can not be trusted with truth unless one just happens to be a scholar themselves. I would rather trust the Word of God, as it is written, where, “… precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:” Isaiah 28:10. Than to follow man, or scholar. “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” Psalms 118:8. God said, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jeremiah 33:3. End of comment.
Please my dear faithful followers in the truth of God’s Word, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.” Proverbs 3:5-7.
Do as Jeremiah 33:3 says, when you study the Word & when you don’t understand something in the scriptures, call upon God, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour, the author and finisher of our faith, for God will teach us the things that we knowest not. Jesus said, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” John 14:26.
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2.
“For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.” 1 Timothy 4:10. “Believe”, is by faith in God’s Word, it is written, knowing that God does not change, note Malachi 3:6. Therefore, build upon precept, for precept must be upon precept of God’s Word. Do not rely on man or a scholar, find out for ourselves the truth of God’s Word, by asking of God Himself, in your study of His Word. “For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.” 1 Corinthians 1:19-21.

Not that a scholar is always wrong, it’s because they can be wrong and can rely on their own understanding and not God’s, as much as anyone else. God sent out preachers that people may hear the Word of God. “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!” Romans 10:14-15. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17. Hearing is listening to others, and then finding the truth out, from God’s Word, for ourselves, just as the people did in the book of Acts, “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:11. In this, we can say, a thus saith the LORD God, it is written, and stand in true faith of the Word of God, not man.
Trust in the living God, at His Word, ask of Him, & trust Him that He will show you great and mighty things that thou knowest not. “As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.” Psalms 18:30.
