Studying the Word of God, With Humility.

We ort to study the Scriptures in God’s will, as we are to study with humility, never use the scriptures to elevate ourselves. In Luke 18:10-14, Jesus tells of a parable of two men in prayer, illustrating the importance of humility in our walk with God. We will look at these verses to go deeper and see more gems within. The website “Open The Light Studies” aims to bring people closer to God through daily Bible studies. Those who study the Scriptures with a true heart will receive an inner transformation as they walk with God daily in His Word.

The Answer is YES! Yes, we can.

Living sin-free is possible through faith in Christ Jesus. The Bible teaches that those who sin shall die. Yet, those who live by faith in Christ, no longer live in sin. Walking in Christ means living in the truth and obedience of God the Father, keeping His Commandments. By faith, one who asks for forgiveness of God, through His Son, will receive forgiveness of sin through Christ and live a righteous life.

“Search”

The psalmist’s prayer in Psalms 139:23-24 asks God to search his heart for wickedness and lead him on the path of righteousness. Jeremiah 29:12 and 17:10 promise that God listens to the sincere heart and judges according to our ways. Searching and seeking God through the scriptures opens our hearts to God’s truth. This pursuit draws us closer to God and starts the process that purifies our hearts.

From the Beginning
