Open the Light Studies
Open The Light studies supplies free Bible studies , that anyone can do. The studies are build on the Word of God, from the Holy Scriptures.
These studies help you to know God more personally as you study the scriptures.
Anyone can do these studies, and anyone that has a Bible base, believing faith, can do these studies of the Word of God. Which will draw you closer to God, Son and Holy Spirit.
Why? Because they are base on lessons that help build a relationship with God and believing Him at his Word.
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. John 7:38
The Open the Light Studies are not based of any Church teachings: But the Word of God. The studies teach Scripture using the method God requires of us to learn from His Word in Isaiah 28:9,10. The studies are the writers testimony of the things God has given in their relationship with Him.
Open The Light Studies believes in keeping all of God’s Ten Commandments. This includes the 4th Commandment and all that it teaches. God set the Sabbath in place after the sixth day of creation, and rested on the Seventh day, which completed the first week. The seven day weekly cycle has alway been from that time, till now. Note Genesis 1:31; 2:1-3; Exodus 20:8-11, 11.
The writer is a member of the Seventh day Adventist church, yet the writer truly believes in following the Word of God above man and the traditions of man. The belief in “It is written”. Matthew 4:4 is our most important stand.
How the studies began?
While doing a study on “The Potter” based on Jeremiah 18:1-6, quite some time ago, the Holy Spirit moved the writer’s heart to tell of the treasures it holds that had come to light.
At this same time, the need to find work was taking up time. When looking for work, and doing studies in book keeping, the calling to keep doing more writing, for more Bible studies, was quite strong. Every time someone ask, when are you going to go back to work? Each time I went to speak, God would say, “what about the Bible studies”? this happen many times. Needless to say, I was somewhat moved, yet it troubled me at the same time, because it was expected of me to find work. What I was to do? I took it to the Lord in prayer. Although I was getting High Distinctions in my book keeping studies, I just lost interest for it all, and in the end I stopped doing the course.
After starting the writing of the “Open the Light” studies, things got really bad. The pressure to get work was there, more so than before. We were getting pressure from the owner of the house we where renting from. He was wanting to put the rent up more and more. The Landlord had already put the rent up not long ago, yet the laws prevented him from increasing the rent again. Because of this, we were concerned we would be asked to leave. Taking it all to God in prayer, deeply sharing, asking and sharing with God all thoughts, which was the answer for peace in this situation.
God truly blessed us in this moment. When things seamed really hard, His blessing meant the need to go to work was removed. We got to move into town away from the pressure of increasing rent. It also meant that I was able to write these studies that God was calling me to do.
Since that time, over the years, some life changing events happened. Some of them were wonderful moments and others where not so, which are the bad trials of life. Yet, with God leading us through them, I was able to continue writing, the studies He had guided me to do.
Now it is time to start sharing the blessings God has shared with me in my walk with Him, in His Word.
God is always with you when walking with Him. Although dark trials came, don’t think He is not there, because He is.
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
1 Peter 4:12, 13.
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Isaiah 41:10
Trust always in God’s promises in His Word. They will lift you up and help you through all kinds of times in life. Remember, we … “can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth” … us. Note, Philippians 4:13
When God calls you to do something, just know He will get you through any trial that comes your way from the enemy. These are the stumbling blocks the enemy puts in your path to try and stop you from following God’s leading. So, keep obeying God, in His call for you, praying and studying His Word every day.
