The Answer is YES! Yes, we can.

For the Bible says, “The soul that sinneth, it shall die”. … Ezekiel 18:4b, 20a.

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.” John 8:51.

Jesus said, “If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. … “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:31-32,34-36.

The question to the answer above is; Can we stop sinning? Can we live sin free?

When we are truly living in Jesus, walking in the way the truth and the life, we are not living in sin. If we believe we are sinners while walking in Christ Jesus, we believe a lie, and the truth is not in us. Yes, we can choose to sin, but once we do that, we choose to step outside of Christ. The only way to the Father, our God, is through Christ Himself. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6.

When we walk in the light of Christ, we no longer walk in darkness, we no longer are living in sin. Christ said, “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.” John 12:46. To abide in darkness is to abide in sin.

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10.

Believe ye, with all faith, that Jesus is able, He can do this work within us, to set us all free from sin. As Jesus said to the woman, “Thy sins are forgiven…. Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.” Luke 7:48, 50. When we have faith, faith in that Jesus came to set us free from sin, we live in that truth, by faith. We live sin free in Christ, walking in the faith of His Word. It is according to your faith; because it is according to your faith, Jesus says, be it unto you. Note Matthew 9:28,29.

Yes, we were sinners without Christ, without the way, the truth and the life we lived in Sin. But now we believe in Him by faith, we live by faith in Him, in Christ Jesus our Saviour.

The scriptures of Paul’s work, was, and is, to turn the people’s hearts from sin, from Satan’s power to the Power of God, our Heavenly Father. From walking in darkness to the light of life in Christ Jesus where sin cannot dwell. As Jesus said unto him, “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.” Acts 26:18. Remember, it is written, “The soul that sinneth, it shall die”. … Ezekiel 18:4b, 20a. Therefore, when we walk with God, through Christ Jesus, filled with the Holy Spirit, our old sins are forgotten, we are made holy, which is what sanctified means. By faith in Christ, we receive the inheritance of eternal life. Note Hebrews 19:17.

“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17.

“Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:” Romans 3:22.

“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” Romans 5:1-2.

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17.

“(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)” 2 Corinthians 5:7.

“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.” Galatians 2:16.

“Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. … For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” James 2:17-26.

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:26.

“Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.” Hebrews 10:38.

Read Ezekiel 18; 2 Peter 3:9, for further Study with prayer.

“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:” 1John 2:1.

“Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.” 1John 3:7.

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” 1John 4:4.

Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul. Ezekiel 3:21.

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Romans 6:1-2

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men. Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Titus 2:11-13.

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 1 Peter 1:15-19

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 1 John 1:8-10.

For God hath made Christ Jesus to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Note 2 Corinthians 5:21.

If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him. 1 John 2:29.

And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 1 John 3:5.

Can we live without sin? Yes, we can, through Christ Jesus. Yet always remember, “if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:” 1John 2:1. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1John 1:9.

“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.” Hebrews 10:22

“Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;” Deuteronomy 7:9.
