Bible study is like dining on the tree of life.

The scriptures says, “Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. … she is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her. Proverbs 3:13, 18.

Wisdom is something we should desire within our hearts. So how do we get wisdom?

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. Proverbs 9:10. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. Psalms 111:10. … Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding. Job 28:28.

It is quite clear that the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. The only way to fear the LORD, is to know the LORD. This fear is in the form of fear as in morally reverence. fear (also used as infinitive); morally reverence: –  X dreadful, X exceedingly, fear (-fulness). Reference from Strong’s Concordance.

God gave us the Holy Scriptures, The Holy Bible, that we may know The Godhead bodily. Which is, God, His Son Jesus Christ, our Saviour, in whom comes the Gift of The Holy Spirit. The deep knowing of God can only come through the study of the Holy Bible. Without the Word of God we would not be able to know Him in where we learn wisdom. How can we fear Him if we do not know Him? Please note prayer references below.

Daily spend time with the LORD, study His Word in the Holy Bible. The fear of the LORD is the Beginning of wisdom, and wisdom … is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her. Proverbs 3:18.

Please open your Bible, read and listen to the wisdom that comes from the LORD in Proverbs 3:1-35.

Dear Heavenly Father … help us to search the scriptures for in them we are shown the path to eternal life: for they do testify of thee and the Godhead bodily. Dear Father please teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. We pray and ask of Thee in Jesus blessed Holy name, in whom Thou are well pleased. Amen.

Note references to scriptures in the prayer. John 5:39; Colossians 2:9; Psalms 90:12; Luke 3:22.
