It has been said, “that when we sin, we keep putting Christ on the cross to be crucified again.”
The scripture says, “For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.” Romans 6:10
So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Hebrews 9:28
The Scriptures says Christ “die once unto sin” so no matter how many times we sin, Christ has already died for them once. If it were true, that we but Christ on the Cross each time we sin, Christ would have never left the cross. Romans 6:9 says, “Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.” We don’t keep putting Christ on the cross to die again, for He dieth no more.
The only ones that need to die often is us. As Luke 9:23 says, “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. And as Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:31 … “I die daily.”
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:5-11.
Know, … if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Romans 8:11.
